$8,000 worth of pickled prizes hidden in Tacoma

National Pickle Day is on Nov. 14.

Come on, don’t act surprised. There’s a day for everything.

In Tacoma we go all-out on Pickle Day. Tacoma-based Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles is once again hosting its Pickle Hunt on Nov. 14. Over $8,000 in pickled prizes will be given away throughout the day.

The hunt consists of 12 jars of Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles hidden in various Tacoma businesses. Each jar will have up to $1,000 in prizes and cash from a variety of Tacoma retailers.

The event starts at 9 a.m. with Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland announcing the first clue via Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles’ Twitter and Facebook page. Remaining clues will be posted every hour until 5 p.m.

$2,000 worth of prizes will be given out at the free post event at the Harmon Tap Room. The Harmon will provide free appetizers. The prize jars must be redeemed there from 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 14.
