Free outdoor concerts return to Gig Harbor

Gig Harbor’s popular outdoor summer concert series is back for 2015. The line-up, announced today, includes “The Voice” alum Austin Jenckes and nationally touring a cappella act The Coats.

Summer Sounds at Skansie begins June 16 and runs on consecutive Tuesdays until August 18. All concerts are free and start at 6:30 p.m. They are held on the waterfront in Skansie Brothers Park, in downtown Gig Harbor. The event is rain or shine.

Local restaurants are once again offering delivery service to the park.

The city encourages visitors to ride the Gig Harbor Trolley and to bring chairs or blankets. No tents, canopies or umbrellas will be allowed. Smoking is not allowed at Gig Harbor parks.
