It’s time for ’10 Things I Hate About You’ at Stadium High School. Here are the details

Ever wanted to live your fantasy of Heath Ledger serenading you in the bowl at Stadium High School? Well, this Saturday you get your chance, sort of.

This year’s annual outdoor showing of the rom-com “10 Things I Hate About You” is special, with Pretty Gritty Tours offering insider tours of the historic school before and during the event. It’s to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the movie’s release, which was filmed at Stadium High School, Seattle and other areas of Tacoma in the late 1990s.

The Stadium High Boosters is putting on the event as a fundraiser for scholarships and student programs. Tickets are $10 to see the movie and $20 if you want to park in the Stadium Parking Garage. You might want to buy tickets online soon, as they could sell out due to popularity.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts around 7:40 p.m. There will be food trucks, and free street parking as available.

If you buy tickets for a 1.5-hour Pretty Gritty Tour of the building beforehand, that $35 price (plus fees) will include movie admission. As of noon Tuesday there were only tours at 8 p.m. available.
