'Welcome to Plathville' Star Debuts New Romance on Instagram as Season 8 Chaos Continues

As the chaos that is TLC's Welcome to Plathville Season 8 continues to unfold, one of its stars has soft-launched a new romance on social media.

Teegan Nichols, the former girlfriend of Ethan Plath, shared a slideshow of photos of a family trip to New York City on Instagram. The reality guest-star dated the eldest Plath son for some time before their relationship fizzled.

Nichols posted 20 images of the trip, where she showed off her tour of the city for what appeared to be a celebration of a college graduation. However, it was a series of five images posted with a mystery man that had fans flocking to her comments section.

She captioned the slideshow "All grace, no waist." Nowhere in the post did she mention her new beau, nor did she share a full-face shot, preferring to conceal his identity.

However, Welcome to Plathville fans had plenty to say about Nichols soft-launching a new relationship as she and Plath continue to work out their problems during Season 8 of the TLC series.

"I do think you should have told Ethan you were completely done. It was so obvious," wrote one follower.

A second fan penned, "Happiness looks good on you! Glad you prioritized you and kept moving forward."

"That ruined the season," declared a third Instagram user. A fourth viewer declared, "Y'all do realize the show is months behind real life. Plus, when you break up, you're allowed to move on."

During the Season 8 premiere, Plath told producers that he and Nichols had broken up. "I knew that she was tired of long distance. And I kept telling her that I would move to Wisconsin, and I never did. You can only tell someone so many times, 'I'm going to do this,' and then you don't, that it just doesn't mean anything."

However, he was determined to get her back, which culminated in a surprise move to her home state of Wisconsin. The series showed Nichols as she pushed back at Plath's attempts to win her affection, as she said she was "friend-zoning" their relationship.

Many factors played a part in Nichols' decision, she said, including Plath not being divorced from his first wife, Olivia (which was finalized in February 2025), and his inability to fully commit to their relationship.

Season 8 continues to prominently feature Ethan Plath and Teegan Nichols' relationship. The series airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
