Military uniform history talk at Historic Fort Steilacoom

Join artist-historian Alan Archambault when he presents “Military Uniforms at Fort Steilacoom” at 2 p.m. Sunday. The illustrated talk will be about military uniforms worn by the soldiers at Fort Steilacoom from 1849 to 1868. It is at at 2 p.m. Historic Fort Steilacoom, Quarters 2, 9601 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood. The event is free, donations are accepted. “Verdi & Schubert” presented by Northwest Sinfonietta

Northwest Sinfonietta will be perform “Verdi & Schubert” at two performances: 2 p.m. Sunday at Pioneer Park Pavilion, 330 S. Meridian, Puyallup and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rialto Theatre, 310 S. Ninth St., Tacoma. The performance is dedicated to song and storytelling with music by Schubert paired with the prelude to Act III of Verdi’s “La Traviata.” Tickets are $40 and available online at northwestsinfonietta.org

Battle of the Sexes comedy at Tacoma Comedy Club

Classical Sundays concert series in Tacoma

Classical Sundays features local musicians for an afternoon of music. Starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, this week will feature Robert Jorsensen on piano.
