Master Gardener Plant Sale The annual plant sale features the best selection of tomato starts grown by Master Gardeners as well as many other plant and artisan vendors. 9 a.m. Saturday-Sunday. WSU Extension Puyallup Research Center, 2606 W Pioneer, Puyallup.

Norwegian Heritage Festival. Held at Anderson University Center on the Pacific Lutheran University campus, it will feature traditional Norwegian food and entertainment, plus Glamfolk Viking re-enactors. The Scandinavian Cultural Center will also be open. It is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free and includes entertainment. Food is homemade and inexpensive. More information at tinyurl.com/h5n94u5.

Comedian David Koechner will be in Tacoma Saturday for shows at 7:30 (18 and older) and 10:30 p.m. (21 and older). The doors at the Tacoma Comedy Club, 933 Market S., Tacoma, will open at 6 and 9:45 p.m., respectively. Tickets are $22 and $28. tacomacomedyclub.com.

Sewing to Sowing Experience the joys and labors of springtime in the 1850s. Sow seeds to take home, learn hand-sewing techniques from the Fort’s seamstresses, and see demonstrations of one of the world’s earliest sewing machines, the Wheeler and Wilson. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, 5400 N. Pearl St., Tacoma. Included in admission.
