BAREFOOT DANCE WITH ISAAC OLSEN FILM
Interpretive dance to a German expressionist film by a Tacoma filmmaker? You bet. The Barefoot Dance Collective teams up with filmmaker Isaac Olsen (director of the hilarious noir film “Quiet Shoes,” set in Tacoma) to put interpretive dance to Olsen’s latest endeavor: a black-and-white film done in German expressionist style. “Ich Hunger” follows a naïve but cannibalistic boy who terrorizes a German village; the film features non-actors speaking in German with English subtitles. A Q&A with Olsen follows the performance. The free event begins at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at Studio III at the Broadway Center, 903 Broadway, Tacoma. barefootcollective.org.
