Holiday shopping just got a lot more arty (and local). Gallery-cum-home-décor-
boutique Moss+Mineral is holding an open house during the Third Thursday Art Walk on Dec. 18 to feature local jewelry designers, craftspeople and more.
The first thing you’ll notice is the store window set up by paper-meister Laurie Cinotto, full of delicately cut paper and snow scenes. Jewelry artists Jennifer Bennett (silver, mica and other materials) and Regina Chang (gemstones, hammered metal) show work along with Moss+Mineral owner Lisa Kinoshita, known for her eclectic jewelry incorporating rare animal media (bone, shell, pearl) with delicate silver.
The free open house runs 5-8 p.m. Dec. 18 at Moss+Mineral, 305 S. Ninth St., Tacoma. 253-961-5220, mossandmineral.com.
