Write in the Harbor conference still open for workshops Friday
Write in the Harbor, Tacoma Community College’s annual regional writers’ conference, still has preconference workshops open Friday (Nov. 6). The conference itself, now closed to registration, features an opening keynote lecture by best-selling author and Pacific Northwest native Garth Stein, as well as Saturday classes and panels. Everything takes place at the college’s Gig Harbor campus.
The four workshops still available Friday include writing for children (10 a.m.-noon), overcoming writers’ block (10 a.m.-noon), the novel process (1-3 p.m.) and flash writing (1-3 p.m.).
Workshops cost $39 each. Registration is online at tinyurl.com/WriteHarbor2015 or 253-460-2424.
Other conference faculty include Anna Alexander, Donna Lee Anderson, A.J. Banner, Jana Bourne, Susan DeFreitas, Malena Crockett, A.C. Fuller, Mark Lindquist, Wendy Hinman, Danielle Monsch, E.C. Murray, Diana Marre, Randall Platt, Mary Smith, Carla Seaquist and Jan Walker.
