Crystal Gayle, Lee Greenwood return to the Washington State Fair for Sept. 17 concert

Crystal Gayle and Lee Greenwood will perform Sept. 17 at the Washington State Fair, filling out the 2015 fair concert schedule.

The two last performed at the fair in 1989.

Along with platinum and gold albums, Gayle won the County Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year, she was a Grammy Award winner for Best Female Vocal Performance and she won three Academy of Country Music Awards Top Female Vocalist statues.

Greenwood’s career includes seven No. 1 hits, including “Dixie Road” and “Hearts Aren’t Made to Break (They’re Made to Love).” He won the Country Music Association’s Song of the Year in 1985 for writing “God Bless the USA.” He, too, won a Grammy for Top Male Vocal Performance in 1985 for “I.O.U.”

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, and are $45 for Golden Circle, $35 and $28, and include fair admission.

Tickets will be available at crystal-gayle-lee-greenwood or at 888-559-3247 from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. Tickets can be purchased at the fair’s box office at Ninth Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays. Online orders are subject to processing fees, and a $2 per ticket fee will be charged for on-site purchases.
