Creedence Clearwater Revisited, featuring two former members of the famed rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, will perform Sept. 7 at the Washington State Fair.

Creedence Revival members Stu Cook and Doug Clifford formed Creedence Clearwater Revisited in 1995. Their platinum album, “Recollection,” includes live cover versions of Creedence Clearwater Revival songs such s “Proud Mary,” “Susie Q” and “Born on the Bayou.”

“We never really had any intention of playing for the public,” Cook said in a news release. “But a friend wanted to promote a couple of concerts. We got talked into it, but didn’t know how it would go over.”

The pair planned to only play private parties, but Creedence Clearwater Revisited now performs up to 100 shows a year, and has toured North America, South America, Central America, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Asia.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are $30 general admission seating, and includes admission to the fair. Tickets will be available at thefair.com or 888-559-3247 daily from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. They also can be purchased at the State Fair box office at Ninth Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
