Proctor neighborhood restaurant G. Donnalson’s has announced its closure.

The restaurant’s final day will be Thursday (Aug. 31).

Steve Smith purchased the neighborhood wine bar called Pour at Four in late 2014. He changed the name a few months later to G. Donnalson’s, a tribute to the combined names of his parents, George and Donna Lee Smith.

The restaurant had a bit of menu overhaul from its former life and also collected a strong following for its live-music nights featuring jazz and blues. The restaurant is at 3814 N. 26th St. in Tacoma.

Brett and Linda Armstrong have plans to take over the space. They also own Tacoma’s Alfred’s Cafe.
