WINGMAN PAR-TAY: Tacoma’s Wingman Brewers is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a beer blow-out. Here’s information from co-owner Ken Thoburn.
Be there: The party starts at noon, April 23. $5 gets you entry, which includes a commemorative glass and a pour. Viet Nom Nom will serve Vietnamese street eats. The big deal is what’s on draft. Take a look:

IN OTHER WINGMAN NEWS: Wingman has brought aboard another brewer. From Thoburn: “Wingman Brewers is proud to announce an addition to our team here at our Tacoma-based brewery. Mike Dempster is the new brewer at Wingman Brewers. Mike cut his teeth at Greenpoint Beer Works in New York, followed by Buoy in Astoria, Oregon, and then helped launch Graff Brygghus in Norway before returning to the states and joining the Wingman crew. Mike is originally from the Gig Harbor area and is excited to be back in the Puget Sound.”
TACOMA RESTAURANT WEEK: Happening this week and next is Tacoma Restaurant Week, a special dining deal when participating restaurants offer three-course lunches for $15 and dinners for $28. Lunch and dinners are offered this week through Thursday and then again from April 17-21. The event is sponsored by the weekly newspaper Northwest Military. NEW MARROW MENUS: New menus dropped a few weeks ago at Marrow, the Sixth Avenue restaurant serving lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Highlights include dry-aged ribeye ($31) with smoked bone marrow, crab and artichoke pasta ($21) and what co-owner Matthew Schweitzer described as, “cacio e pepe with truffles,” truffle pasta ($26) served with shaved truffles and a house-made tajarin pasta.
CLOSED: Cafe Divino announced on its website that it’s now closed.
