An 83-year-old Kent man died Thursday morning during a traffic wreck in Kent, said Kent Police spokesman Jarod Kasner.
The two-car wreck occurred at the intersection of Washington Avenue and West Meeker Street. Police and fire units attempted to revive the man, but were unsuccessful.
The other driver, a 70-year-old Federal Way woman, was transported to a hospital with injuries. The extent of her injuries were unknown, according to a Kent Police statement.
Police say information indicates one vehicle was heading east on Meeker and the other was westbound and making a turn on to Washington Avenue. Speed may have played a role in the wreck, police said.
