Cost: The event is sold out

The event has sold out, but here’s what ticketholders can expect:

Tastes: Samples from several Gig Harbor restaurants. Also, wine and beer samples, plus spirits. More than 20 wineries, four breweries and at least three distillers. Go local, and visit Tacoma’s 21 Cellars.

Celebrity chefs: James Beard award- winning Seattle chefs Tom Douglas and Thierry Rautureau will record the radio show “Seattle Kitchen” live at the festival.

Kris Blondin: The owner of Tacoma’s Stink Tank and Stink Cheese-Meat will discuss her favorite topic, summer rosé wines. You’ll be proud to drink pink after attending this lecture.

Justin Stiefel: The co-owner of Gig Harbor’s Heritage Distilling Co. and the most knowledgeable spirits producer in the South Sound, Stiefel will give guidance on the history of whiskey and a primer on the differences among scotch, bourbon, rye and whiskey.

Ty Cline: The beverage manager for Stadium Thriftway will cover the unusual topic of pairing wines with Tacoma’s legendary Bimbo’s Sauce, which is sold at the store.

Steve Lynn: The owner of Gig Harbor’s Morso wine bar will cover the territory of enjoying wine with your sniffer. That’s right — he’ll tell attendees how to smell wine.

Maryellen Ward: The executive chef at St. Anthony’s Hospital will have a cooking demonstration focused on simple appetizers.

Gary Winn: The Silver City Brewery director of operations will discuss beer yeast — ale, lager, Belgian and hefe.
