Two-time Olympic medalist Will Claye is scheduled to headline South Sound Running’s annual Spike Nights Wednesday in Olympia and Thursday in Tacoma.
At the 2012 London Olympics, Claye, 23, won a silver medal in the triple jump and a bronze in the long jump. He also won the 2012 world indoor championship in the triple jump.
South Sound Running’s 6th Spike Night also includes a team spirit award for track and cross country teams with the top three teams receiving $250, $150 and $100 respectively, according store promotional materials. There will also be free pizza and drinks at the events.
The events are from 4-7 p.m. The Olympia store is at 3405 Capitol Blvd. The Tacoma store is at 1736 Pacific Ave.
