Tacoma to host clean-water technology conference

The third annual Wellspring Conference, a two-day gathering of experts and professionals on clean water technology, is set for mid-October at Tacoma’s convention center.

Wellspring brings together private industry, government officials and scholars to discuss the future of management, regulation and potential of the precious resource. It’s put on by Water Partners of Tacoma, an initiative of the Economic Development Board of Tacoma-Pierce County.

The conference runs Oct. 14-15, and registration is required. Those who register by Sept. 30 will pay $130. After that, it’s $150. Go to to register and find the conference agenda.
