Jim Bowles has been named president of Kidder Mathews’ Brokerage Services Division. The new position has been created “to facilitate strategic, long-term growth of the company’s commercial brokerage business,” according to a company release.
“As we look to expand our market share in existing and new markets, there’s no doubt in my mind that he is the right person to help us grow the company,” Kidder Mathews CEO and Chairman Jeff Lyon said.
Bowles has held senior management positions at national commercial brokerages including Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE. Under his leadership from 2001 and 2014, CBRE’s Seattle operation increased its annual revenue from $12 million to nearly $200 million, according to the release.
As Kidder Matthews continues to grow in California, Lyon said, “there is a tremendous opportunity for us to increase our presence. We plan to open offices in San Diego and the East Bay in 2015, and then, in partnership with our existing offices in San Francisco, Redwood Shores and Silicon Valley, expand our presence in both the Northern and Southern California markets.”
