Tacoma will welcome its latest recreational marijuana retailer Friday (Jan. 30).
Rainier Downtown, a sister store to Rainier on Pine in Nalley Valley, will celebrate a grand opening beginning at 10 a.m. at 112 S. 24th St.
According to owner Don Muridan, the opening will feature glass blowing demonstrations, food, entertainment, various giveaways and a traditional ribbon cutting.
The location previously served as an outlet for medicinal marijuana. With an investment of approximately $100,000, Muridan said the Initiative 502-compliant store will incorporate enhanced security, new sales technology and enlarged sales and waiting areas.
