Eye Candy Beauty recently opened in downtown Tacoma. The company provides eyelash extension services, occasion hair and makeup, airbrush tanning, eyebrow extensions, hair remover and fusion hair extensions. It also offers advanced beauty industry training from owner and lead instructor Jessica Carbullido. Maria Kok, along with partners Mike and Cindy Jacobsen, Doug and Peggy Ostrander, Deb Smith, Greg Cass, Ken Boggle and Ken and Virginia Borg, will be opening Plateau Wines at 1533 Cole St., Enumclaw, with a grand opening at 3 p.m. Thursday. The shop is created as a relaxed environment, offering weekly wine tastings on Fridays and Saturdays, a retail section, tables and seating to enjoy wine and a monthly visit from local winemakers. It also offers the Plateau Wine Society membership offering free tastings, members-only wine sales, discounts and priority on all events plus year-end dividend based on purchases.

Hours are noon-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, noon-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. More information is available at plateauwines.com or by calling 360-825-2734.
