Tacoma high school students have until April 10 to apply for Summer Jobs 253.
Summer Jobs 253 is a program operated in partnership by the City of Tacoma, the Reach Center, Tacoma Public Schools, WorkForce Central and Tacoma Community House. Now in its third year, the program provides students with the opportunity to gain work experience, learn financial literacy skills and earn up to two high school credits toward graduation.
The jobs pay minimum wage and include some paid training.
This year, the program has spots for 150 incoming juniors and seniors who are attending Tacoma public schools. Interested students should contact the career counselor at their school, or visit summerjobs253.com to apply.
