Shoes may not be important to you — until you don’t have them.
Or imagine a child going to school with shoes too small, or worn through with holes. Such is the “reality for many foster children as foster families use limited funds to replace the many other essential items growing kids need,” according to a release sent on behalf of shoe drive for foster children.
Sleep Country is hoping to collect “a record-breaking 10,000 pairs of shoes” during its Shoe Drive for Foster Kids,” which will continue through June 7.
Donations of new shoes in any size from toddler to teen can be dropped off at any Sleep Country store. All contributions are distributed among Sleep Country’s foster care partner organizations.
