Gas prices in Tacoma area creep over $4/gallon, except at these 2 spots
Average gas prices in Tacoma are up over 11 cents per gallon from last week, according to the latest data from GasBuddy.
As of Tuesday morning, the average gas price in Tacoma is $4.16/gallon, and the average gas price in all of Pierce County is $4.10/gallon.
Meanwhile, the national average gas price is $2.88, rising slightly from last week.
The cheapest gas in all of Pierce County is at the Arco at 17601 Canyon Road in Frederickson, coming in at $3.59/gallon, according to GasBuddy.
The cheapest gas in Tacoma is at CFN at 1302 Puyallup Ave., coming in at $3.69/gallon, according to GasBuddy.
“The national average price of gasoline continues to grind higher, and while the pace of increases remains modest for now, upward momentum could accelerate in the coming weeks as refinery maintenance intensifies and the broader transition to summer gasoline begins,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, in a press release. “However, supply-side dynamics could temper that seasonal pressure. If OPEC+ proceeds with resuming production increases following its first-quarter pause, additional barrels could cap crude oil’s upside and limit the magnitude of the spring rally at the pump. That said, geopolitical tensions—particularly between the U.S. and Iran—remain an unpredictable variable, injecting risk into the outlook and leaving prices vulnerable to sudden shifts.”
