A single-wide mobile home in Parkland was destroyed by fire early Monday, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.
Crews responded about 8:30 a.m. to the home in the 200 block of 129th Street East and found the structure ablaze, Central Pierce Assistant Chief Adam Jackson said.
“It was fully involved, basically, when crews got here,” Jackson said. “Mobile homes go up fast just based on the products of how they’re made.”
Crews knocked down the fire in about 15 minutes, Jackson said, but the home is a loss.
The home’s occupant escaped and is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
