Pedestrian killed by freight train in Kent

A pedestrian was killed Friday morning after being struck by a freight train in Kent, according to Sound Transit.

The BNSF train struck the person near West Willis Street and First Avenue about 5450 a.m.

Details of the accident have not been released.

The Sounder’s south line was temporarily suspended. Trains already on the track headed north will end at the Auburn station. A bus will pick up passengers headed to Seattle at the Auburn station.
