Heads up, drivers in Puyallup and Sumner. Nighttime work means ramp closures

Nighttime traffic near Puyallup and Sumner will be worse than usual this week as crews do work on state Routes 512, 410 and 167.

The first ramp closure is slated for 10:30 p.m. Wednesday for guardrail repairs.

Drivers heading south on SR 167 to eastbound SR 410 will be detoured on state Route 161 and northbound SR 167.

The ramp will reopen by 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

On Thursday, state Department of Transportation crews will shut down the East Pioneer Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 512 at 10 p.m. so they can repair bridge joints on the overpass.

One lane on eastbound SR 512 will close during the work.
