The man was naked and sitting in the middle of the road with his legs crossed, apparently waiting for a car to hit him.
People first called 911 about him around 4:45 a.m. Monday after the 31-year-old man caused a commotion at a gasoline station. He was naked and running through the parking lot yelling, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.
The man then put on a pair of shoes and ran into the street near Lakewood Drive West and 66th Street West.
Several cars swerved to avoid hitting him as he weaved from lane to lane before finally sitting down.
