McDonald’s manager stabs attacker who wouldn’t leave restaurant, police say
A manager of a McDonald’s in Des Moines was attacked Sunday afternoon after he told a group of people to leave the restaurant, and he then stabbed one of the suspects, police said.
Des Moines police said that about 2:30 p.m., the manager of the restaurant at 22644 Pacific Highway South spoke to at least five people who had been asked to leave, but refused. Several people in the group started attacking him, and he was punched and kicked several times, police said.
The manager produced a small knife and stabbed one of the suspects in the chest, police said. That person was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, and the extent of his injuries is unknown at this time, a police spokesman said.
The manager suffered minor injuries, and police said everyone involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with responding officers.
No further information was immediately available.
