SR 410 and Crystal Mountain open again after landslide forced highway closure
After a 4-day closure, state Route 410 in Enumclaw reopened Monday night.
The highway was shut down Thursday after heavy rains caused several landslides to send fallen trees, mud and other debris across all lanes.
Crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation worked to clean up the mess and were able to open SR 410 to local traffic on Sunday.
By 5 p.m. Monday, the highway was open to the public between Enumclaw and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort.
Crystal Mountain, which was closed for a few days due to lack of access, said it will be open for skiing Tuesday.
Crews remain in the area monitoring and clearing ditches so drivers are asked to go slow, WSDOT said.
