Interim Steilacoom superintendent promoted to permanent

Kathi Weight, who has served as interim superintendent in Steilacoom this school year, has had the interim part of her job title erased.

The Steilacoom School Board voted to remove the temporary label and enter into contract negotiations with Weight for the permanent job.

Prior to her appointment as interim superintendent, she was executive director for student achievement and human resources in the district.
