All but one day of 2015 U.S. Open championship tickets sold out

Individual tickets are close to selling out for the championship rounds of the 2015 U.S. Open, more than eight months before the major golf event is played at Chambers Bay in University Place.

All gallery tickets and club ticket packages have sold out for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday rounds of play (June 19-21), the United States Golf Association announced Tuesday. Tickets remain for the opening round on Thursday, June 18, but they’re also are expected to go quickly, according to the USGA.

Golf fans can still buy tickets for Thursday play and for the Monday through Wednesday (June 15-17) practice rounds by going online to usopen.com or usga.org/tickets.

The U.S. Open has sold out for 28 consecutive years. This will mark the first time the major championship has been held in the Northwest.
