UPDATE as of 9 p.m. Crews removed a tree limb from a line, restoring power in Federal Way. Power to Puyallup was restored earlier when workers fixed damage to a line there, after removing a fallen tree.
UPDATE as of 8:20 p.m. Puget Sound Energy said crews restored power to the roughly 2,000 customers affected in Puyallup. About 800 people lost power in Federal Way, where crews were still working to fix the problem.
The company did not immediately know what caused the outages.

Puget Sound Energy said via twitter that it expected to restore power to Puyallup about 10:30 p.m., and to Federal Way by 11 p.m.
