Tacoma sister city group to show Yugoslavian movie

The committee advocating a sister city relationship between Tacoma and Hvar, in Croatia, is sponsoring a showing Wednesday of the 1992 Yugoslavian film, “Tito and Me.”

The new sister city relationship, which would be Tacoma’s 13th, was approved by the Tacoma Sister City Council last month and is before the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County.

“Tito and Me” is a comedy by Serbian director Goran Marković.

The film is scheduled to be shown at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Center for Spiritual Living Church, 206 N. J St. It will be preceded at 7 p.m. by a showing of Rick Steve’s travelogue, “Croatia: Adriatic Delights.”
