The traveling circus is in Tacoma, but don’t expect to see any elephants

There will be a large red tent, performers and cotton candy, but don’t expect an elephant.

The Venardos Circus, which bills itself as an animal-free “unique Broadway-style experience,” is performing at the STAR Center in Tacoma until July 10.

The traveling circus was started in 2014 by Kevin Venardos, a former Ringling Brothers ringmaster, and originally featured a cast of six performers. It has grown to feature 15 different acts.

Meet a few of the performers, who will be in Tacoma for the next few weeks, in this video shared from FOX 13 Seattle.

Tickets for the circus are available online.
