Fire destroys residential building in South Hill. Nearby roads to be closed for hours
A fire Thursday destroying a building in South Hill, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.
According to the department’s Twitter account, firefighters were working to put out a fire at a residential building near 110th Avenue East and 158th Street East about 5:25 p.m. The building was described as both a duplex and fourplex by the department.
There were no injuries, according to a department tweet.
110th Avenue East is closed at 158th Street and 152 Street East and would be for several hours, according to Central Pierce Fire.
Graham Fire & Rescue and Pierce County sheriff’s deputies also were on scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated by the Pierce County fire marshal.
