A no-longer stalled semi-truck has continued to cause traffic delays along westbound sections of state Route 512 Friday afternoon.

Washington State Trooper Robert Reyer first tweeted about the truck at 1:48 p.m., writing that it was blocking both westbound lanes of the state highway just east of Canyon Rd. East. Traffic was able to pass along the road’s right-hand shoulder but still caused delays.

In a phone call with the newspaper, Reyer said state troopers cleared the truck around 2 p.m. He said that troopers have left the area and both lanes have reopened.

Reyer expected vehicles to be slowed in that highway section until 3:30 p.m., noting that cars have been backed up to state Route 167. He said that this incident adds to already heavy traffic caused by the Washington State Fair.
