Light showers rolled in Friday evening and made for an overcast Saturday throughout Puget Sound. It looks like “June Gloom” is here to stay – at least through mid next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Light showers are expected to continue through the weekend and into early next week.

The expected high Saturday is 66 degrees with temperatures dropping to around 48 degrees in Tacoma. The day will remain mostly cloudy, yet quite humid. There will be a 40 percent chance of rain tonight after 11 p.m.

Olympia is a bit colder and less humid with a high of almost 64 degrees and humidity at 71 percent.

Other cities in and around Puget Sound will also experience a cold and wet next few days, with the highest probability of showers in Everett.

Seattle will experience close to record low temperatures for the month of June on Sunday with a low of 48 degrees and Monday with a low of 46 degrees.

But after the rain, there’s sunshine.

Temperatures in Tacoma will begin to warm up again on Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid 70s. Olympia will also experience warm temperatures at the end of the week with highs ranging from low to high 70s.
