Fire burns at Fife apartment building. Cause is under investigation

A fire damaged two units of an apartment building in Fife on Friday.

The fire started about noon at the Sherwood Park apartment building located on 2350 62nd Ave E in Fife. One first-floor unit and one second-floor unit were damaged, according to Tacoma Fire Department spokesman Joe Meinecke.

Firefighters had the fire under control and were working to douse hot spots about 1:15 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were immediately reported.
