Prepare for South Sound soggy: Forecasters say the sun will hide for the next few days
Bring out your umbrellas — or not — because the forecast predicts rain this week in Tacoma.
Forecasters predict that rain is likely after noon on Saturday. It will be cloudy with a near high of 58 degrees. There is a 70% chance of precipitation. Saturday night the forecast calls for 80% precipitation with winds from the south southeast going 3 to 7 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS says there is a 40% chance of rain on Sunday and it will be cloudy. Sunday night calls for rain and more cloudy weather with a low of 55 degrees.
On Monday, forecasters expect rain and a near high of 59 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 100% with winds gusting as high as 20 miles per hour, a fun way to start off the work week. Monday night shows a forecast of rainy showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight. The night will have a low of 50 degrees.
NWS predicts showers likely for Tuesday and it will mostly be cloudy with a high of near 57 degrees. There is a chance it will rain Tuesday night with a low of 49 degrees.
There is a slight chance of rain before noon on Wednesday. It will be partly sunny with a possibly high of 62 degrees.
People can expect a slight chance of rain on Thursday. It will be partly sunny with a high nearing 64 degrees. There is a chance it will rain Thursday night as it will mostly be cloudy with a low of 52 degrees.
Expect a chance of rain on Friday and it will likely be partly sunny with a high of 61 degrees.
