A rainy commute time crash on westbound state Route 16 shut down all lanes of traffic Monday afternoon through Gig Harbor.

The crash, reported around 4:21 p.m., is near Wollochet Drive. Traffic was slowly getting by the scene by driving on the shoulder, according to the state Department of Transportation. But traffic cameras show at least one lane open as of 5 p.m.

The WSDOT X feed (formerly Twitter) urged travelers to “pack your patience” as delays could extend across the Narrows before the crash is cleared.

The two car crash is most likely non-injury, Washington State Patrol Trooper John Dattilo said.
