Firefighters extinguished a fire that destroyed a Graham family’s home early Friday morning.

Graham Fire & Rescue crews responded to the 4700 block of 260th Street East in Graham at 4:35 a.m. All residents in the house escaped safely, according to Graham Fire & Rescue on X.

A 911 caller reported that a man, woman and their son were upstairs. The fire fully engulfed the house, and one of the residents was taken to the hospital. Firefighters were still on the scene Friday morning to contain flare-ups, according to Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Darren Moss.

The Pierce County Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
