Did you expect the sunshine to stick in the South Sound? You were too hopeful

It’s not time to bust out the sunscreen and sunglasses yet.

The clouds and rain will keep us company for the next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Those in the South Sound should expect some showers tonight, mainly after midnight. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation with a low of about 46 degrees.

The clouds, and maybe rain, will hover Sunday morning with a high near 56 degrees. Later that night temperatures may drop to around 45 degrees.

On Monday rain is likely to pour after 11 a.m. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of around 50 degrees and a low of around 44 degrees.

Rain is likely to come Tuesday morning and night. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of around 53 degrees and a low of around 43 degrees.

It will rain Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Temperatures for those days are expected to reach a high of around 52 degrees.
