Cyclist killed Friday in Tacoma identified
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man killed Friday morning in a Tacoma bicycle accident as Peter Evans, 46. Officials did not have a hometown for the man.
Tacoma police said the bicyclist was killed Friday after riding into an intersection and hitting a trailer pulled behind a fuel truck.
The cyclist was riding east on East 25th Street when he passed several cars, failed to stop at the traffic signal at East G Street and went into the intersection, police said. The bike hit the trailer, and the cyclist was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
