Tacoma police investigating 15-year-old boy’s shooting death early Saturday as a homicide

A 15-year-old boy was killed early Saturday in Tacoma in a shooting that police were investigating as a homicide.

Tacoma police officers responded to a report of a shooting shortly before 4 a.m. at an address in the 1300 block of East 67th Street, the Tacoma Police Department said in a news release. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

“Officers and responding Tacoma Fire Department personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries,” police said.

Crime scene technicians and detectives responded to the scene to investigate. As of 7 a.m. Saturday, the police hadn’t taken any suspect into custody and the investigation was ongoing.
