19-year-old woman who died in Pierce County crash identified by medical examiner

The 19-year-old woman who died Oct. 10 after her car veered off state Route 16 in Gig Harbor has been identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner.

Erin Lim of Silverdale was driving east at 7:33 a.m. when her car left the road to the right and struck the guardrail, landing in the ditch, near 24th Street Northwest. She was pronounced dead at Tacoma General Hospital, The News Tribune reported.

The ME’s report said the woman was from Silverdale. An initial report of the incident stated she was from Everett.

Lim’s cause and manner of death are still pending, according to the release from the medical examiner.
