Pedestrian hit and killed while crossing Tacoma street. Police are investigating
A woman was killed when a vehicle struck her while she was crossing a street Thursday evening in Tacoma.
Officers were dispatched around 5 p.m. to the crash at South 72nd Street and G Street. The woman was dead at the scene, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune. Officials have not released the woman’s identity.
The female driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with police, Boyd said.
It’s not clear what led to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
