A street restoration project will be closing South 51st and South 52nd Streets between South Junett Street and South Pine Street from Monday through Wednesday next week, according to the city of Tacoma. The roads are on the east side of South Park and the Tacoma Mausoleum and Mortuary.

Maintenance work will happen between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and the work is weather-dependent, so timing may be subject to change.

The road work is part of the Residential Street Restoration Program, the city said in a press release Friday. A member of the city’s Street Operations Division was unavailable to share more information when called Saturday morning.
