Over 100 Pierce County residents lost power Friday night near Waller Road after a driver hit a downed tree and power lines, according to a post from the Pierce County Sheriff on X.

The power went out around 9 p.m. Friday and is expected to be repaired by 2:30 p.m. today, nearly 17 hours later, as seen on Tacoma Public Utilities’ outage map.

The tree fell due to high saturation of water on the ground. No one was seriously injured.
