All lanes of State Route 167 in Auburn to close overnight this week

Construction crews will fully close northbound and southbound State Route 167 in Auburn overnight from Dec. 3 to Dec. 4.

All lanes in both directions will be closed starting at 10 p.m. Dec. 3 to 4 a.m. Dec. 4. The closure will start from 15th Street Northwest to South 277th Street, according to a travel advisory from the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The agency will indicate detours with signage along the roadway.

Crews will be removing sign bridges on State Route 167 as part of WSDOT’s SR 167 Corridor Improvements Project. The project is a years-long effort to update the toll system on SR 167 and to build an auxiliary lane on southbound SR 167. The project has about $102 million in funding from the state, according to WSDOT’s website.
