A 2.8-magnitude earthquake struck Kitsap County near midnight on Christmas Eve, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake hit about three miles west of the town of Gorst in Kitsap County and about six miles southwest of Port Orchard. The USGS reported its epicenter as coordinates within the city of Bremerton.
As of Christmas morning, 13 people reported feeling the earthquake to the USGS.
